This past Saturday saw the Forks Skate Park lit up with the Skate 4 Cancer event. I’d never seen the spot so busy. Live bands, dozens of kids swarming the park. It made for a great Father/Son day. Here’s some snaps.
A short photoshop layer-lapse consisting of 3 select composites from the past year. I had a blast, and by far, 2012 was the biggest kick ass year for me since I decided to go out on my own.
Music: “Caught In The Beat” by Broke For Free (brokeforfree.com/)
Shot over 3 days of our Canadian May long weekend 2010. Music – Shinedown: Simple Man (please don’t sue me, I’ve wanted to use this song forever). Shot with a Canon 5d MkII, tripod, 85mm 1.8 and 70-200 2.8, 17-40L.
*update 2013 – 3 years later, I notice faults with the video due to gear restrictions at the time. It still brings a tear to my eye though. I made this video with the hope that my boy, the love of my life, will grow up without all the materialistic BS we’ve gradually grown to accept as normal these days.
Awhile ago, my buddy Dave brought his Dodgeball team over for a quick shoot and a couple drinks. This was a bit different from what I’m used to when working a composite as I didn’t really have the time to flesh out the overall idea in advance. So I shot them to fit into a couple of ideas.
The Guys n Gals were shot in my living room, the floor is from my Kid’s school, the wall is from a building in Point Douglas, and the ceiling is from Century Arena.

Here’s a few highlights from Champ Weekend a couple weeks ago. The LAST Champ Weekend at Winnipeg Stadium. Shot for Stafford Studios.
